Working with Cloverleaf Advocacy and South West Yorkshire Mental Health Trust, verd de gris arts have brought together a community steering group, to design a new film to encourage and empower people to look after their physical health and well being. Supported by participating GPs we will explore issues around access to, and barriers impacting on, health checks for people on SMI register.

We will work with GPs and local people affected by issues, in a bid to better support local people living with complex mental health needs.

Here is our call out to local people:

A HEALTH PROJECT FOR CALDERDALE
We would like you to help us create an important information project for local people about Annual GP Health Checks? You can earn some money by sharing your experiences with us.
WHAT ARE WE DOING?
verd de gris arts are making a series of short films about Annual Health Checks for people who are living with, or been affected, by severe mental illness. We’d like to include people with lived experience and we’d love to talk to you.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
We would like to hear your experiences – good and bad about accessing a health check. This might include having a one-off chat with us or by being involved in one of our short creative films. It depends on what you are comfortable with, you won’t be under any pressure, but your involvement will be really valued and could make a big difference to other people. You will be paid for your time.
