Winter Retreat

Verd de Gris Arts' Creative Retreats bring together women from diverse social, cultural and ethnic backgrounds in beautiful rural settings where everyday pressures can be left behind and new relationships can begin.

Developed from our long-term work supporting women experiencing isolation, poor mental health and low confidence, the retreats create safe, creative spaces where difference is explored with curiosity rather than fear.

Through movement, music, making, conversation and shared reflection, participants discover common ground while celebrating their unique experiences. Away from familiar routines and expectations, women find the time to listen deeply, tell their stories and build lasting friendships across communities.

These retreats have become an important part of our creative methodology, nurturing confidence, wellbeing and belonging while strengthening community cohesion. Many women describe the experience as life-changing, carrying new confidence, hope and meaningful connections back into their families, neighbourhoods and wider communities.
