ADVISORY GROUP
Verd de gris arts is a not for profit company committed to developing community-based project work that is responsive and relevant. To help inform this vital work we have an Advisory Group of local people who support and champion our work in local communities.

Meet some of our Advisory Group members:

ADVISORY GROUP MEMBERS

Here, some of our group members share the reasons why they came forward to share their time and experience with us:

HANAN ABUMADYAN
“I always feel happy when I see a strong woman. I lived in the bottom of a strong mother who supported me. Since then I decided to support myself and all the women who passed through my life. It is difficult to be in the right place, but not impossible. Impossible as a difficult word, but it is easy to pronounce, here we will meet to make the impossible possible.”

CHLOE RAISTRICK
“I would love to work within this focus group, I think it would benefit me and other women. I have come such a long way since working with Sharon, I feel like I could benefit loads from the group and it’s nice to know that I’m not alone in this horrible world we live in, it’s helped me grow more confident within myself and with others. I feel this focus group would give me loads of opportunities in life and I will continue to grow and be able to give to other women.”

SOPHIA BOOTHROYD
“I’d love to be part of this focus group, a group of women who come from all different backgrounds, different cultures, and all have different stories to tell. To sit and share ideas and swap thoughts of what our experience in our groups have given us, and where this journey could possibly take us next. I’m excited to be part of this group.”

HINA GILANI
“I want to be part of this amazing, diverse focus group where “our backs tell stories no books have the spine to carry.”

Our most recent projects are supported by a range of funders including The National Lottery Community Fund, West Yorkshire Mayor’s Safer Communities Fund, People’s Postcode Lottery, Give Bradford, Pause / Barnardos Bradford, Culturedale – Calderdale MBC’s Year of Culture.
